Major League Soccer

Major League Soccer is the top-flight professional soccer league in North America, having been founded in 1996 after the United States had hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Having recently finished its 14th season, MLS will kick off its 15th campaign on March 25, 2010. The league will see its 16th team in the Philadelphia Union make their debut in 2010. MLS continues to grow, as Vancouver and Portland will join the league in 2011.
